Per BHEC on 04/11/2024, "The agricultural industry has one of the highest percentages of death by suicide and rural areas have a higher percentage of suicides compared to urban areas. To address this, the State Office of Rural Health (SORH) is partnering with AgriSafe to provide free professional development training for behavioral health professionals in Texas. This FarmResponse training (a 3.5-hour continuing ed module) will teach you to identify signs of stress and provide help to your clients and their families who are experiencing stress due to employment in the agricultural industry."
